His tiny yawn with little fingers grasping around for the familiar hands of Mom & Dad, the way he wiggled his little toes as if searching for the blankets he is always swaddled in, and the way he blinks his soft eyes open to take in the new world that surrounds him. He is perfect. I went to visit him shortly after he was welcomed home from the hospital and the sticky hot summer air made it too warm to take him outside. Instead we snuggled him and captured his every move in the home his parents proudly restored. The home where he is rocked to sleep and laid down into his crib as his parents sit exhausted on the couch. The wonderful exhaustion of having a new baby.
