Bring an extra special blog post for today; we celebrated my little cousin’s second birthday over the weekend. Landon is my partner in crime and typically the center of attention. He loves monsters and can often be found blowing bubble on my front steps. He is the most talkative little guy I know and can hold conversations with anyone he meets. He has the whole world wrapped around his tiny little fingers.
Sessions with little ones are different for each family; you have a brief period where you can hold their attention. Normally it takes a little bit for children to warm up to you and leave their parents sides. Then comes the brief period of time where they are interested in what you are doing before they are completely over the whole thing.
This is 100% not how it works when little people know you already. It goes straight into let’s play and run around like we typically do to being super annoyed that I am still trying to chaise them with a camera to my face. Landon resorted to throwing rocks at me…
I am not sure when he went from a baby to a grown up little boy but his looks have been changing,..
I love having time at the end of a session to move away from the portraiture side of things to experiment…
Happy Birthday to my favorite little monster!!
