My final wedding of 2017 was nothing short of amazing. After photographing weddings for a few years now there are certain types of couples that I see walking down the isle. Those who have dated all through out high school and college, those who met and fell in love in a moment, and those whose you just can not imagine a world where they do not belong together. Paula and Mark fall into the last category. Their love is a love that inspires others to love a little deeper.
They met while both attending The Ohio State University, while their timing was not right in the beginning they eventually found their way in a long distant relationship. I believe Mark was in Alaska and Paula in Texas when they began dating, both a long way from their roots in Ohio. They found their way back to each other and settled down in North Carolina for the time being. There was a cheer of celebration when the Maid of Honor’s toast discussed the possibility of them relocating back to Ohio at some point in the future…
Their wedding day captured the last of those beautiful Fall colors we have come to miss and brought one of the first cooler days of the year. The wedding party bundled up and handled the cold like it did not even bother them.
There is one moment at every wedding where a girl goes from being herself to realizing that she is the Bride, it’s always magical.
First looks with the Father hold a special place in my heart, no one loves their little girl the way Dad’s do on wedding days.
