We meet up for their engagement session last September, that point where it is the weather here in Ohio we wish for year round. It has cooled off enough that we can wear pants and sweaters but still warm to run around in short sleeves during the day. When fall is finally coming yet the leaves still have all the green color. I’m looking forward to their late fall wedding this coming year, we will hopefully have good weather & pretty leaves to work with. I am crossing my fingers already.
We started off in one of my favorite areas to sneak back too; Brian’s family is from Montezuma so luckily it was right in their neck of the woods. They were such good sports about climbing right into the thick weeds and it was completely worth it. Such gorgeous backlighting!! I love when the sun sits in that part of the sky.
We headed towards Grand Lake after that, for anyone local to our area you know that the lake is not always the most gorgeous but these photos tell you differently. If I was not there actually taking the photos I do not know if I would believe it was the same place.
(There are the best outtakes EVER of the above shot on the right, the spin and kiss pose has forever been changed in my mind 🙂 )
Just down the path is the spot where Brian asked Tara to marry him, without a doubt we were heading there to grab a few shots.
We finished up their session by incorporating their dog Maggie who did such a wonderful job!
The beautiful love of Tara & Brian was an absolutely honor to document. I am lucky to be both your friend & photographer; your wedding will be here before we know it!
