Kendra + Nick

Maybe it was fate that lead Nick to volunteer on the unit where Kendra worked at the Ohio State University Werner Medical Center. The two became friends, Kendra even helped get him a job there when they had an opening. Kendra knew Nick was special. She even tried to convince her friends to date Nick, this great guy that she worked with. It took almost an entire year of Kendra denying her growing feelings for Nick. They became more than coworkers and friends, they became a couple.

Kendra knew pretty early on that Nick was the one. That year of friendship that grew while working together set the foundation for a beautiful relationship. Kendra always jokes that Nick was a step behind me, so it took him a little longer to know that Kendra was his happily ever after.

There is a powerful moment that normally happens in the middle of the ceremony. You’ve spent all morning preparing, not seeing one another and the nerves finally subside. Kendra and Nick’s favorite moment was sitting in the front of church looking out at all of our family and friends there to support the two of us. The mass was beautiful and personal, and at the end of it, Nick leaned over and said, “Wow, I wish we could do that all over again.” Kendra kindly reminded him they still had the whole day and party yet to attend. Let me tell you, it was a party that they had.

Kendra and Nick changed every detail of their wedding day to accommodate the global pandemic known as covid19 but if you asked them to do it all over again, they would. All of the changes that they had to go through leading up to their big day, made them just feel so grateful to be able to celebrate with their family and friends. It rained, there were things that didn’t go quite right, and there were more nervous butterflies than they would’ve expected, but at the end of it all, Kendra and Nick were just elated to finally be married and have the celebration they had always hoped for.
