It was quiet at the Church on a September morning, a few people moved quickly into the basement while they finished off their parish activities. The place held a moment of stillness before the emotion of the day seemed to fill it. The room where the bridesmaid were going to be was filled with shoes & perfect dresses hung in clear bags, it wasn’t quite obvious yet how beautifully this day was going to unfold. Steph’s wedding dress hung in the corner just a little bit separate from the mass of purple that hung near by. It was finally here, the day she would marry the man of her dreams. The sound of two little voices overtook the room and in busts two energetic little girls. Both moved all over the room looking for their glow sticks and not quite ready to get into their little white dresses while Grandma tried to keep things moving along.
Just a few rooms down Brian & his set of men filled the empty halls with laughter. They stood amongst each other joking as they prepared for their day. They had to it so easy compared to the girls, who had been up early getting their hair & make up done. While the boys were out getting their photos done Steph slipped into the church. As she stepped into her dress the day started become more real. All the girls finished preparing and snuck around the other side to make sure the Groom didn’t see his new Bride until the moment was right. The bridesmaids left Steph and she waited to see her Groom. They chose to see each other before the ceremony, to spend a few moments alone with each other before they began a whole new chapter in their lives. The chapter where two become one and three became four.
Here is where we get to the speeches which requires a little bit of explaining. We started with Hayley who spoke of their friendship and why Steph is such an important person to her. Next we had Angie, Steph’s other Best Friend, who started off nice and quickly bust out one of the BEST raps I’ve ever heard. The Bridesmaids did a great job as back up dancers. Tyler talked about the day when he realized Steph had replaced him as Will’s Best Friend over a deer hunting story. Somehow Jason managed to top all of that in a speech that won’t be repeated on this blog but catch one of us in person and we will gladly tell you 🙂
