Being a great photographer is more than just the photographs I create, I strive to create memorable moments from your wedding day and curate those into lasting memories.
It's simple – I know I love connecting with people. Photographs have a way to pause your life to allow you to look back on it as often a needed and I’ve always been nostalgic. Honestly, it’s such a joy to share these life moments with you.
I’m also excellent at pinning on boutonnieres, helping with the tiny buttons on the back of wedding gowns, resecuring a loose wedding veil, I am very, very good at bustling wedding gowns – no matter what style or how many bustles. I haven’t met a dress yet that I couldn’t conquer.
When I was just a little 18-year-old who decided I wanted to pursue photography, my family kindly asked what exactly I planned to do with a photography degree and if I was sure about it. While not the support I was looking for, they meant it from a place of love. Looking back at exactly how much that little 18-year-old did know about what she wanted her life to look like, I’m glad I listened to myself and took the leap to become a photographer.
I’ve been photographing weddings (and other things too) for the last decade and I still (and hopefully always will) really enjoy it.
My life has changed since I started photography – I now have my own husband and two cute kids. We live in the same small town that I grew up in. I don’t travel too much but I’m open to it, I just like being able to make it back home to put my kiddos to bed.
But really, I handle all the small stuff that pops on your wedding day helping you to stay fully in the moment and not let it be a bigger issue than it is. We will work together prior to your wedding to set a smooth timeline that balances the important stuff like the ceremony and the fun stuff like popping champagne. I get it, you want nice photos and to be able to talk with your guest, drink a beer with your wedding party and enjoy the day.
